Please join Fern Hollow Nature Center, Local Goodness and The Italian Garden Project for our 4th Annual Alfresco Italian Garden Dinner benefiting the educational programs at Fern Hollow Nature Center.
It was voted one of the top ten parties of 2012 by the Pittsburgh Tribune Review!
Set on our beautiful lawn, guests will enjoy a fresh, simply prepared meal and entertainment by accordion player Hank Eduardo. Our guests are invited to stroll our grounds, dance a polka and the tarantella, play bocce and enjoy the beautiful sunset. This year we are cooking up an Italian picnic featuring fresh fruits, vegetables, pasta, and meats donated by the farmers at the Sewickley St. James Farmers Market.
This benefit will directly support the education programs at Fern Hollow Nature Center. The Center offers over 60 hands-on inquiry based science programs for local schools each year that focus on Pennsylvania wildlife and habitat, geology, local watersheds, and much more. In addition to monthly family and adult program such as our popular fishing programs, owl prowls, amphibian program, and a trout release. Last year over 6,000 students from ten schools participated in those programs.
