Saturday, 12:00 noon
WHERE: Heinz History Center, Pittsburgh
Join the History Center as we learn about the rich Italian tradition of the Festa dei sette pesci, or Feast of the Seven Fishes, with the Italian Garden Project’s Mary Menniti.
Learn the origins of this holiday tradition, and speak with a Health Coach from UPMC Health Plan to find out more about the many health benefits of seafood. Visitors will get to sample some of the foods prepared and take home recipe cards so they can try their hand at these delicious dishes in their own kitchens.
This program is presented in partnership with UPMC Health Plan and the History Center’s Italian American Collection.
