Growing up with an Italian immigrant grandfather, I came to know and value his self-reliant lifestyle, his wise use of resources, and his extensive gardening knowledge. I founded The Italian Garden Project™ to preserve old world food and gardening traditions and demonstrate that the wisdom the Italian American gardener possesses is relevant for today and for future generations. These gardens serve as glimpses into the past that can lead to a brighter, more sustainable future.
